The Falkland Islands Have you heard of the Falkland Islands? A few small spots on the map west of the southern tip of Argentina. For a long time we thought about whether we should visit the Falkland Islands during our five week trip to South America or not. There is the possibility to visit Falkland with a cruise ship or individually. I would always choose an individually planned trip. In one day, more people come to the islands on the cruise ship than there are residents in the entire Falkland Islands. Hast du schon mal von den Falklandinseln gehört? Ein paar kleine Flecken auf der Landkarte westlich des Südzipfels von Argentinien. Lange haben wir überlegt, ob wir während unsere fünf wöchigen Südamerikareise die Falklandinseln besuchen sollen oder nicht. Es gibt die Möglichkeit Falkland mit einem Kreuzfahrtschiff zu besuchen oder individuell. Ich würde mich immer wieder für eine individuell geplante Reise entscheiden. An einem Tag kommen mot dem Kreuzfahrtschiff mehr Menschen auf die Inseln als es Einwohner auf den gesamten Falklandinseln gibt. South America #27 – Ecuador – Galapagos Islands – Santa Cruz
For our final days we went to Santa Cruz. We did two dive days to Gordon Rock to see Hammerhead sharks. On 03.12.2019 we had to fly back home. This was an amazing trip!

Arrived at Isla Isabela by ferry. Explored the island by bike along the turtle highway :)

Playa Mann early in the morning. We did a daytrip through rough seas to Isla Espanola. Highly recommended!

Arrived in Ecuador and flew to San Cristobal the next day. What a beauty. Puerto Chino is amazing!

South America #22 – Patagonia Chile – Torres del Paine – Base Las Torres
Last day in Torres del Paine: Hike up to Base Las Torres. Pro Tip: Hike early! We started at 4AM and arrived at sunrise. Almost no people. On our descent it felt like the whole world arrived to get to the Base.

Back in Chile Torres del Paine we did another horseback riding trip into the back country. Highly recommended!
