South America 2025 – #19 – Argentina – Corrientes – Estancia Don Joaquin

Last part of our great trip Estancia Don Joaquin. We had a fantastic time there. We helped with the cattle, cantered through some lagoons and enjoyed our time. Fantastic!

The Estancia is quite different from Buena Vista. I would recommend to visit both.

Our initial plan was to take the night bus back to Buenos Aires and fly back home the next day, but due to heavy rainfall the only bridge between Corrientes and Buenos Aires was flooded and closed and all buses were cancelled.

In the end we drove with a private taxi for 8h to try and drive a different route, not knowing if we will make it to the airport. Multiple areas around Buenos Aires were affected by flooding.

We were lucky to arrive in the morning and catch our flight back home.
