South America 2025 – #18 – Argentina – Corrientes

After arriving in Lima by bus we took our flight to Buenos Aires. From there we took another night bus to Esquinia in Corrientes. We finally arrived in Esquina at 4AM and were picked up by the owner of the Estancia Buena Vista Klaus. The Estancia is about half an hour away from Esquina.

Buena Vista is a beautiful Estancia surrounded by flat lagoons and a river close by. We went horse riding twice a day and enjoyed nature. It is very remote, sometimes you do not have electricity, but you not really need it. Between the rides we relaxed in the sun, listened to the huge amount of birds and parrots or visited the horses.

On the first day we went out for a full moon ride towards the river. Another magical experience with bonfire, snacks and amazing peoples.

The other days were nothing short of spectacular: Cantering through lagoons, a daytrip to a hut near a lagoon where you can watch capibaras if you are lucky and take a boat ride to watch birds.

We spent three days at Buena Vista before we continued to our last stop.
