Scotland 2024 – #02 Nairn Beach – Troup Head – Dornoch

My wifes birthday. we decided to drive from Nairn Beach all the way to the east towards a place called Troup Head. If you are lucky you can spot Puffins on the cliffs (we saw two). The cliffs are beautiful and the weather was great.

Later that day we returned to Nairn Beach to watch the sunset and drove all the way up to Dornoch.

We arrived close to midnight and wondered about the people staring at the sky. We witnessed northern lights, quite strong. There was a solar eruption a few hours/days before hitting the earths magnetic field this night.

What a great way to end a birthday ;). We watched till about 2:30AM.
