Mexico – Yucatan Peninsula

After three weeks of Baja California we decided to visit the other coast of Mexico – the Yucatan Peninsula.

We did several stops (the usual stuff like Tulum) at the coast like diving in cenotes (the pit and dos ojos), driving all the way down to laguna bacalar (highly recommended) and driving all the way to Calakmul which is quite a long drive to the west but well worth it.

Regarding the so called main attractions like Tulum, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel and Cancun:

Go there if you like lots of tourists and party. In Playa del Carmen we felt like being at a volksfest …

Cozumel is nice but i recommend you to rent a scooter to drive around the island.

After staying for about a week in the south of Yucatan we drove to the north to El Cuyo for kiting.
