New Zealand 2023 – South Island – Nugget Point and Otago Peninsula

Next day we continued to the east towards Dunedin and the Otago Peninsula for the Blue Penguins. Along the way we stopped at the famous Nugget Point Lighthouse. A nice stop to enjoy the scenery. Look out for Seals!

The beaches at the Otago Peninsula reminded us a bit of the Falkland Islands. I can not say why. The vibe was quite similar 🙂

At night we went to the far end of the Otago Peninsula for a Blue Penguin night tour, to see the Penguins arrive from the sea. I would highly recommend doing this tour. The little guys are so funny to watch.
