New Zealand 2023 – South Island – Gertrude Saddle

Amazing day for the Gertrude Saddle hike. A spectacular hike near Milford Sound. The hike is steep and rated as extreme route. As soon as you reach the saddle you have amazing views into two valleys.

An amazing hike! I would not rate it as an expert hike. There are steep sections, but nothing to worry about, as long as it is dry weather.

Do not go when there is the possibility of rain.
