La Reunion – Belvedere Bois Court and Cascade Grand Bassin

This day started quite cloudy in the south but the mountain weather promised good weather. We decided to drive to the Belvedere Bois Court, a viewpoint looking down into a valley without roads, only accessible by foot.

The Viewpoint is at 1400m elevation.

From the viewpoint you can spot the waterfall Cascade Grand Bassin. The hike from up there is 927hm down into the small valley. The length is around 6,5km to the bottom of the waterfall.

The way back from the waterfall is so exhausting. It just climbs and climbs. We started back up quite late. The last hour we hiked in darkness with our phones as torch. Not the best idea, but so beautiful down there.

Great second day at Reunion!
