Scotland 2024 – #06 Drumbeg – Achmelvich – Stac Pollaidh – Ullapool NC500 – Lewis and Harris

Stac Pollaidh hike

Take the extra detour (dont listen to GMaps) and drive the road to Drumbeg all the way to Achmelvich Beach. This scenery is spectacular.

From there we continued all the way to Stac Pollaidh, a hike with amazing views. The hike itself is not very long but steep.

In the evening we took the ferry from Ullapool to Lewis and Harris (you have to book well in advance).

Lewis and Harris is an island from the Outer Hebrides. The ferry takes about 1-2h. We arrived at 10PM at Stornoway. As the sun was setting we headed to the standing stones on the western side, before continuing to Tarbert.

this is Scotland!

Stac Pollaidh hike next 🙂

Total distance just around 6km but 450m elevation gain.
