Norway – Stegastein lookout and Naeroyfjord Hike

After our Trolltunga adventure we drove till Aurlandsvangen, approximately 3h north of Odda passing Flam. After a good rest on a campsite we decided to visit the Stegastein lookout. Close to the lookout there is a scenic road called Aurlandsfjellet. Unfortunately this road was still closed due to snow.

The view into the Sognefjord is beautiful. We enjoyed a bit of the warming sun until clouds arrived.

We opted to hike up the Rimstigen which lets you view into one of Norways narrowest fjord called Naeroyfjord. We had to drive back 40 minutes to the starting point of the hike. It was supposed to be short but very steep. The hike is about 3,6km one way with an elevation gain of 710hm. It took us 1:40h. Along the climb you have nice views into the fjord.

Dont be fooled by the signs telling you the hike is just 2km one way… 😉
